I have been interested in Metaphysics all my life, but mostly kept it to myself, except during the past eight years. As a young child, I saw Auras, first, when in Church: they were all around the Minister, during his sermon, when I was in a semi-trance state. As a youngster, I did a lot of Astral Traveling, when I was put down for my nap, in the afternoons. The first several years of my life were filled with a lot of insecurities and unhappiness and during my Astral Travels, I returned to that place in the universe where I knew I was safe and at peace. I thought everyone visited this place! In the early 60's , I came across an article in a magazine called "The Crystal Ball" by Ruth Montgomery. It was an article about the Psychic , Jean Dixon, and the more I read, the more I was able to relate to her story. I then became interested in studying the different religions of the world, and found my beliefs entailed bits and pieces of all the major religions, although I delved into Buddism and The Tibetan Culture in depth. . From there, I read all the books on Edgar Cayce, and the Association for Research and Enlightenment, in Virginia Beach,Virginia,USA. By the early 70's most of my time was spent bringing up my two boys, devoting time to my marriage, and nursing. However, one day I heard a morning radio program in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where we lived , about a new organization in town called "The Inner Peace Movement". I went by myself to the Intro- Lecture and found this was exactly what I had been looking for - a group of like-minded folks who met weekly and frequently held weekend workshops. Here I learned to put names to the "phenomena" I had always experienced in my life and assumed others did as well. Astral Traveling, Psychometry, reading auras (both of people, animals and objects), dream interpretation, premonitions , etc. I learned to not be afraid when I astral traveled to my center of cosmic-consciousness and realized the vibrations people emitted from their auras were often filled with anger and denial although they did not necessarily speak this. I learned how to become aware of my angels and guides and "played games" with them. For example , asking which lineup in the bank was the quickest or asking for a parking spot close to a store entrance . From there, I learned to hear them when helping to make serious decisions in life. For example, one time I asked, when offered a head nurse position at the Izzac Walton Killam Hospital for Children, in Halifax, if this was in my best interest. My Angels and Guides emphatically said " No! " . I took the job, but had to quit six months later as it drained me completely and left me know time with my young family. During the late 70's and early 80's, I put most of my spiritual beliefs on the back burner, and devoted my time to my husband (who did not share my beliefs) and two busy young children becoming men. However, by the mid-80's my marriage had dissolved, my boys had grown into men, and I found myself experiencing the Empty Nest Syndrome. To fill this void I decided to embark on the adventure of a life- time. I applied and was excepted to work in Saudi Arabia as a Registered Nurse ( at a time when dark clouds were forming in that area of the world - Fall of '89) I spent three amazing years in the Middle East. By serendipity, a visited the Greek Islands - particularly Crete. While there, I felt I had been there before and found my mind wandering to a time long long ago,as indeed I HAD been there before, as I later discovered. In a past life! The ruins at Knosses were familiar..... On returning to Canada, there were few nursing jobs available so I decided to visit a friend in Florida - a friend from early childhood - coming full circle once again. It was now 1994. In '96, I took a nursing position in a different medical center and here met a fellow nurse who was to change my life. I later called her "My Sage" We live on the Gulf Coast and during our frequent walks on the beach she shared with me her spiritual ideas and beliefs. Most importantly, she shared how to use these gifts we each are given, on an hour by hour, day by day basis. I began to recognize the importance of negative and positive energy and how I , a "Feeler" allowed others negative thoughts and feelings affect MY thinking. I learned how to continually shield and protect and ground myself and in thus doing became a much better nurse who was able to use my gifts of healing more abundantly. From there, I began to utilize these methods all day long...remembering to call upon my Guides and Angels for assistance in my minute by minute living. What a wonderful thing that was to learn!!! Then came the Internet ! In 1998 I bought my first computer and was able to tap into sites with similar interests as mine. Going to some of these Forums was like being at "Summer Camp" . I was with friends. I began to take classes in Astrology, Tarot, Channeling, etc. and found a much bigger world out there...with so many Spiritual Souls as well as so many Needy Souls. By going on the Internet, I've been blessed to find some fantastic web sites. On reading some, the idea began to form "I could do this too!",with a lot of assistance from my son! A visit was long overdue, so in July 2000, I took a Leave Of Absence and came to Alberta. The rest is history---the web site came to be born! What a Joy to now be able to share and teach some of my ideas and techniques to you, my Guests. |
